We at In Vitro Films are proud to announce that we recently won two awards at the inaugural Imperial Valley Film Festival. The film Time Goes On won the Special Award for best depiction of life in the Imperial Valley, and the first (still unreleased) episode of Proxy won third place. We would also like to congratulate our friends and fellow filmmakers, Burning Fields Productions for winning both the Audience Choice award and the First Place Award!
As far as Proxy goes we are going to finish production of the final episode very soon ans should start releasing the episodes to the public soon after. Be sure to check back here for more details!

We are pleased to announce that Bitter Sober’s music video we did is going to be featured on The Reel Show, find out more about it here. The show will air live Saturday, February 5th, 2011 from 11am-12pm PST and will feature ‘Crazy’ as part of its content. If you can tune in live, great, if not the show will be posted later so everyone can watch. So check back later for the link.
We are happy to announce that two projects IVFilms worked on with a fellow filmmaker, Dimitri Zaunders, were both accepted into the San Diego State University Film Festival. We will be posting these films online soon, so be sure to check back if you want to see them!
Our web-series, Proxy, is still in production, and we plan to have a teaser or trailer out for you at the beginning of the year, so be sure to check back for that as well!
We are currently about halfway through production of our web series entitled ‘Proxy’. So far everything is coming out really great. We will release a trailer for it in around a month and the series should be completed and released early 2011. Be sure to check back here for more details.
We are happy to announce that we are going to begin production on a web series entitled ‘Proxy’. We are very excited about this series and hope that you will be too. We have been working on pre-production for the past couple of months and are finally going to begin shooting. Proxy is of the horror/thriller genre, be sure to check back here for more info, a teaser/trailer and maybe even some production stills.
In Vitro Films is pleased to announce that our very own Justin Burquist placed highly in several screen writing competitions. His first feature screen play “Two for the Road” placed in the top 10 screenplays for the Bare Bone Film Festival and in the top 25 % for the prestigious Page International Screenwriting Competition. His short film screenplay, “Mouse” was also received into the top 25 % of the Page Int. Screenwriting Competition. These are the first screenwriting competitions he has participated in.
Here is a short “for fun” project we did during one of our production meetings, we finished it in about two days.

In Vitro Films is holding auditions for a short film. We need one Hispanic lead male that looks 35-45 years old and is able to speak Spanish fluently. We also need one Hispanic-looking (No Spanish necessary) lead female that looks 17 years old (though must be at least 18 years of age). Auditions are Monday April 26th and Tuesday April 27th from 6:30pm-730pm at San Diego State University in the Media Center (Bottom Floor of SDSU Library Dome) room G. Actors will receive a cash stipend for their time, food will also be provided. Feel free to email with any further questions, we hope to see you there.
